Cacao Cherry Smoothie Bowl
Smoothie bowls have a special place in my heart. When a day passes and I do not have one, something feels terribly wrong. Although smoothie bowls may seem similar to a smoothie, they are actually quite unique. A smoothie bowl holds the same ingredients as a smoothie, but has a thicker, ice cream-like consistency, and is placed in a bowl to hold all your favorite toppings.
One morning I starting adding random ingredients I had in my kitchen into the blender, as I usually do, and came up with this irresistible recipe. This breakfast combination is hands down one of my favorite breakfasts of all time. Every ingredient is considered a superfood (yes, even the raw cacao powder), so you can enjoy your fruity and chocolaty breakfast without any guilt, and still be full until lunch. You can even slip in a handful of kale or spinach in as well to get some greens into your day without actually tasting it!
